I eat a lot of apples, so I use this once, twice, sometimes three times a day. It has held up well so far for several months of this daily use.Slices them well and easily and cleans up well. The padded handles make it comfortable to press down.Another reviewer complained that some of the core gets into the slices. I've noticed that can happen if the apple doesn't sit square on the counter, with the top level. Some apples just grow in a way that makes them a little tilted. So for those apples I simply slice the bottom just enough so that the apple sits on the counter properly and the core is perpendicular to the counter. Press down, and the core stays in the center.
